Complete in a well-organized, portable case, this spill kit includes Safetec’s FSC-1 formaldehyde solidifier which is designed to quickly solidify the spill minimizing harmful gas emission.

Formaldehyde Spill Clean-up Response Kit & Refill | Safetec 48625 & 48630
Formaldehyde Spill Response Kit features FSC-1* Formalin Spill Control to aid in reducing exposure to formaldehyde gas in the event of a spill. Firstly, the formalin is transformed into an easily removable semi-solid mass. Secondly, resulting in mass cools rapidly minimizing formaldehyde off-gassing.
Furthermore, there is also a Refill Response Kit that has the same replacement items as the initial Clean-up Kit. However, it is sold in a Polybag with the below items as replacement.
Finally, the Formaldehyde Clean-up is a convenient emergency response kit for medical personnel using formalin or other formaldehyde-containing substances. Ideally for solidifying and containing small-volume spills. Use where a significant volume of fluid needs to be contained. Importantly, notify emergency response personnel in accordance with facility guidelines.

Please note the initial Formaldehyde Spill Kit comes in a hard case with a handle for transport. The Refill Response Kit comes in a “Polybag” for items to be replaced in the hard case for easy storage and inventory.
Additionally, all items in the initial Clean-up and Refill Formaldehyde Response Kit are necessary when working around or in the vicinity of formaldehyde-containing substances. In addition, consider items disposable when working around formaldehyde gas substances. The FC-1 is a powder that initiates the chemical reaction when solidifying a substance for easy removal. However, it is safe and easy with the proper protection.
Once complete use the proper handwashing. Along with removing disposable items in the proper biohazard bag or receptacle.
*FSC-1 capacity to convert and immobilize formalin decreases as the concentration of formalin increases. It is important to read instructions before use. Check OSHA regulations for additional information.
