Description
- Blunt, multi-side holed, spring-loaded inner cannula extends beyond needlebevel; protects underlying tissue (lung) from further, inadvertent penetration
- Color change indicator, located in the needle hub provides direct visualization of the position of the blunt cannula, as the needle moves through the abdominal wall and into the peritoneal space
- Polyurethane, radiopaque catheter material provides strength, softness flexibility, and resistance to thrombosis
- Multiple side holes in distal catheter shaft increase surface area for drainage
- Depth marks on catheter shaft provide assessment of catheter location during procedure
