Red-Z® Bulk Fluid Solidifier Safetec
Safetec’s Fluid Control Solidifiers are designed to encapsulate as well as deodorize potentially infectious blood and body fluids. This in turn can help you comply with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 1910.1030. As well as save your facility money. The new formula Red-Z® Bulk Fluid Solidifier, as well as Green-Z® Bulk Fluid Solidifier, absorb twice the amount of fluid in the same amount of time. While both powerful formulas, the main difference is deodorizing. Green-Z on one hand is a classic fluid solidifier. Red-Z on the other hand contains chlorine to deodorize while absorbing. This in fact makes it much easier to work with some fluids in the medical field depending on their chemical makeup. Some chemicals may be reactive to chlorine so for these we recommend Green-Z.
In laboratory tests, Safetec’s Z-line solidifiers were compared to the six leading solidifiers on the market today. The Z-line of solidifiers is “hands down” the fastest solidifier on the market, with some competitors failing to solidify completely, even after 10 minutes.*
Safetec Red Z ® and Green-Z® Fluid Solidifiers come in convenient unit-dose in addition to, multi-dose bottles and pouches for ease of dispensing into small ports found in suction canisters, urology bags, and kick buckets. When the product is poured into the small openings of suction canisters the fluid is then encapsulated into a semi-solid gel for easy and safe transport.
From suction canisters, red bags, fluid drainage bags, and chest-drainage units to disposable systems for potentially hazardous situations in home administration, healthcare, and medical environments, SAFETEC Fluid Control Products allow spill-free waste handling as well as disposal of potentially hazardous fluids.
*Comparisons based on the time for 45g of each product to completely solidify 2,000 cc’s of 0.9g% NaCI at 25°c.
