This wearable wireless ambulatory patient monitor makes conventional telemetry obsolete by combining the features of bedside monitoring with telemetry monitoring.
The Micropaq ™ displays heart rate, ECG and motion-resistant Masimo Set ® SpO2, and continues to monitor and display patient vitals with alarms, even when out of telemetry range. It saves thousands of dollars by using lithium ion rechargeable batteries, and connects via FlexNet, ™ Welch Allyn Monitoring’s new 2.4 GHz ISM band wireless network, to the Acuity ® Central Station, which also can link to remote PCs, phones and PDAs.
