FSII Flow Sensor
The FSII Flow Sensor is the new and improved pneumotach designed for use with the Puritan Bennett® Simplicity™ or Renaissance® II Spirometry Systems. The FSII is a low cost, disposable, single-patient-use sensor that minimizes the possibility of cross contamination and reduces staff clean up time. The sensor is small in size and can be used on both adult and pediatric patients. Each FSII sensor is individually manufactured, calibrated, and tested for accuracy. Each sensor is bar-coded with calibration infor that, when read by the spirometer, assures reliable and accurate spirometry test results. The flow sensor information is recorded by swiping the bar-coded sensor or entering a numeric code. The FSII Flow Sensor, when used with the Simplicity or Renaissance II Spirometers, meets or exceeds the American Thoracic Society standards for accuracy and precision.
